Doom+ Utilities
- DeHackEd 0.25 - 110Kb
Acorn version by Luke Graham, this utility allows you to alter the Acorn Doom+ exectuables to change weapon damage,
monster attributes and much more. This allows several Doom Total Conversions to work, such as AliensTC. You can make your own patches, and with Doom+, you can patch in real-time as you play
the game!
- Alienate 1.30 - 150Kb
An installer for the Alien Doom Total Conversion, using DeHackEd. Acorn code by Luke Graham and Rob Kendrick.
You can fetch AliensTC from: http://www.doomnation.com/doomoscope/SPages/Reviews/AlienTC.htm
Heretic/Hexen Updates
- Heretic 1.00 to 1.01 - 712Kb
This will remove the "This Copy has Expired" message. It also improves
the 24bpp modes so that they makes better use of the expanded palette.
Various other minor things have also been tweaked.
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 Updates
- Update Patch 2 - 15Kb
This patch should be applied in addition to the two below. It will
patch the main AGG file to v1.1, allow the Random Map generator to
work correctly, fix problems with large XL maps (eg. Dragon Wars)
which were within 2Kb of maximum size, and auto-switch between low
and high memory frontends. 8Mb machine owners should proceed
with caution as this version requires between 200Kb and 400Kb
additional RAM. You may be able to free this up by running from
a low resolution desktop mode.
- Update Patch - 435Kb
This fixes problems scrolling the hero selector with exactly 4 heroes or
castles. It also includes a new !Sprites file.
- Frontend Patch - 165Kb
This patch should solve the 256 colour icon problem, without losing
the pretty frontend graphics.
Descent 2 Extras
- Manual in (Easi)Writer format - 500Kb
You'll need Writer (bundled with RISC OS 4), EasiWriter or TechWriter to read this.
- Manual in HTML format - 495Kb
If you don't have access to EasiWriter or similar, this version retains the
pictures and most of the tabulation/formatting of the document.
Descent Updates
- Descent Hi Resolution Static Images - 1.45Mb
You'll need Descent 1.05 and 12-16Mb of RAM to make use of these images, but they make
the cut scenes and static displays in the game look awesome. Thanks go to Heiko Herrmann
and the guys over at Parallax/Volition/Outrage for sorting/allowing release of these images.
- Additional Hi Res Main Menu Image - 125Kb
If you downloaded the old (1.3Mb) set of Hi Res Images, this file was missing. It's
included in the 1.45Mb image set, but if you've already downloaded the bulk of them, this
should save you a penny or two as you can download this missing one separately.
TBA Classics CD
- Two BHP extra tracks - 700Kb
Thanks go to David McEwen for producing playable tracks from the unfinished
data created by TBA. Although the tracks still lack extra track-side graphics
and other bits and bobs, they are playable, and easier to race on than some
of the originals!
Syndicate+ Updates
- Syndicate v1.03 - 301Kb
This update improves level load time and caches data in memory more efficiently.
A memory leak has been fixed which could cause problems if you completed many
missions in one sitting. The game now performs better on 8Mb machines, too.
This will only patch installed versions of the Retail version of the game.
Ankh Updates
- Ankh Patch v2.00 - 145Kb
Fixes problems with SCSI and other non-ATAPI CD Rom drives, both from the front
end, and during the game. Also corrects problems with CD music skipping on some
screens. The update covers both hi-res and low-res versions.
v1.01 also fixes problems with loading of saved games, and music problems with
external versions of CDFS.
v2.00 optionally moves it from being "PG/12" rated, to "U" rated - ie. the
language is a little less corse.
Doom Updates
- Doom 1.01 update
Fixes problems with 8 bit sound and RiscOS 3.5. Only available by post - return your disc with an SAE.
- Doom 1.02 front end update - 14Kb
Designed to be installed on top of 1.01 (although it may work with 1.00 as well), this patch
improves screen mode selection and fixes a few problems with setting up network games.
Doom Network Drivers
- TCPIP v1.07 - 40Kb
TCPIP/Ethernet version by Justin Fletcher. This is supplied as is with little or no warrantee
as to stability and suitability for general use. This has been tested between two machines on
a local network, but we can't guarantee how well it will hold up on slow Internet/Modem connections.
Please read the enclosed !Help file before use!
Latest version includes detection of local machine details, an address book, and more...
- Helener, for Serial Play - 32Kb
Another Justin Fletcher special, just don't ask about the name! This program allows you
to set one machine up as a mock Internet server, and connect to it using standard
internet software via a NULL modem cable. Once connected it's just like running a standard
TCPIP network - ideal for playing network Doom! Requires the TCPIP driver as well.
Please note that this has not been thoroughly tested!

conversions. This version ported by Rob Kendrick.

A comprehensive Doom level editor and creation system. Design maps, apply textures,
